I have left designing behind

...at least for the time being. And, let me tell you, it was NOT an easy decision. Mom died on February 2, and March 1 was the anniversary of my Dad's passing. I have no siblings, and realized that I am IT! I am the "matriarch" of my family ... 2 sons, 1 daughter, and 1 granddaughter. It is almost terrifying; no longer have mommy and daddy to turn to. So, I rather impulsively decided to close my stores and step back from designing for a while. I need to clean out my house. I am putting it on the market in early Spring, hoping it will sell, and needing to purchase a condo for myself. Right now, I have a three bedroom, 2 and a half bath home, complete with inground pool, lots of lawns and gardens, and a huge driveway to clear in the winter. I am in upstate NY, and that can all be quite a hassle. I want a nice, two bedroom condo, where someone else takes care of all the outside maintenance, and all I have to do is have fun decorating the inside! Besides the daunting task of cleaning out mom's belongings, I also have "stuff" from my ex, two return visits from my lovely (adult) daughter, and still have my eldest son living with me, due to his past financial issues. So, as you can see, besides a basement and garage filled with the "stuff" from others, my plate is just FULL, FULL, FULL. I am really happy to see all the recent requests for me kits, though. So, I decided I am going to upload a few to FileSavr (no nasty viruses, yet), and offer them to my wonderful customers as FREEBIES. I hope you all enjoy them. Who knows what the future holds ... I may be back, full speed ahead, after my personal life has settled down a bit. Afterall, I am hoping that the "designer" is still lurking deep inside of me! Keep an eye on this blog for DOWNLOAD LINKS ... I actually have a kit in the making, and some completed recently, which I never offered for sale.

I don't know you, as this is the first time I have been to your site. But, I feel a connection with you. I, too, woke up one day and realized, I was it. Me! No one to turn to or to just know that they were there.

It gets better, my dear. You begin to realize that your parents did a fine job teaching you how to deal with life. They will be so proud to know that you are making it. Isn't that what most of us parents want?

I'm sending you a hug and a smile. Do be sure to give yourself some time for you. You have a family that needs you. LOL

With sincere caring,

Su
